Bio: After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, Ann Gottesman graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, with a Juris Doctor degree in 2005. She was then sworn in as a licensed California attorney. For the past 17 years, Ann's legal pursuits have been focused on the practice area of criminal law and DUI defense law. While in law school, Ann clerked for Justice Earl Johnson Jr., of the Second District Court of Appeal. She assisted Justice Johnson with the drafting of judicial opinions, one of which was published as a case of first impression. (People v. Russell (2005) 129 Cal.App.4th 776.)After working for a criminal appellate firm in Los Angeles, she joined the Law Office of the Public Defender in Riverside, CA, because she wanted to help ensure indigent defendants received a fair trial.Since 2009, Ann has worked as a sole practitioner in Pasadena, California, focusing solely on DUI defense and Criminal defense in Pasadena, handling all types of misdemeanor and felony cases. Ann's experience and assertive, yet tempered demeanor in court has allowed her to develop a good personal rapport with the District Attorneys, City Prosecutors and Judges. This has resulted in Ann achieving the best possible results for her clients.
Bio: With a background in criminal defense trial work, Lara has tried several serious cases to verdict. Her trial experience includes the defense of those charged with robbery, gang offenses, theft, drug offenses, burglary, domestic violence, attempted murder, and of course DUI offenses.Lara also handles criminal writs and appeals in California, United States District Court, the Ninth Circuit, and has worked on multiple cases in the United States Supreme Court. Lara is a contributing author to Attacking and Defending Drunk Driving Tests. She is the past President and current Vice President of the California DUI Lawyers Association, a Regent for the National College for DUI Defense, and has been a selected Southern California Super Lawyer since 2020.
